over the weekend I had to comfort and console a friend who was grieving a terrible tragedy
she had a good friend (since middle school) who committed suicide ….
as I gave her a hug and consoled her I told her something very simple….
I said it was OK to cry. it was OK to grieve. and the greatest way she can help herself live through the grief is to journal daily the things she is grateful for… what she has left.
I want you to be so happy and grateful for what is left and what you do have, and not be discouraged or deterred by what was taken or denied you. that’s the only way to go forth.
