I AM A LOVER OF WORDS….LEARN, GROW AND ENTERTAIN MYSELF THIS WAY….ALWAYS LEARNING EACH DAY
One of my favorite living thinkers is the Brazilian writer Paulo Coehlo.
Even his beautiful name rolls off the tongue with ease….Pao-Low Quay-Low….
This is what he says:
“The reward of our work is not what we get, but what we become”
“Defeat exists, but not suffering. A true warrior knows that when he loses a battle he is improving the skill with which he wields a sword. He will be able to fight more skillfully next time. ”
“There are three things that a child can teach an adult:”
To be happy for no reason; to be always busy doing something;”
And to know how to demand – with all one’s might – what one wants”
“All battles in life serve to teach us something, even the battles we lose.”
“A warrior is always aware of what is worth fighting for. He does not go into combat over things that do not concern him, and he never wastes his time over provocations. ”
He too sees all of life in terms of war.
I love Paulo Coehlo
